Upcoming EventsWe are the 2009 ALA Student Chapter of the Year Award Runner-up!!!The ALA Student Chapter has been named runner-up for this year's 2009 ALA Student Chapter of the Year Award sponsored by ALA's New Member Round Table. We were honored for our use of Web 2.0 technology, outreach to distance education students, and excellent array of programs. In addition, they recognized our chapter members for receiving an impressive number of awards over the last two years. Our chapter will be recognized at the ALA National Conference this summer. The Student Chapter of the Year Award is presented in recognition of a chapter’s outstanding contributions to ALA, its school, and the profession. The purpose of the award is to increase student involvement in ALA through student chapters and to recognize its leaders. The ALA Student Chapter at San Jose State University was named this year's winner. Congratulations to all the Student Chapter members for your hard work and participation!
