Community Outreach CommitteeChair: Ata Bird, Tina Ladika, and Holly PantleThe Community Outreach Committee provides a chance for the ALA Student Chapter and the GSLIS community to reach out to the immediate community and offer our enthusiasm, expertise and time to making their world better. Projects can include getting involved at area schools with storytelling or bookarts (make a bookmark) or reading contests, getting involved at senior centers with reading to the elderly, book donations, etc. Bringing the ALA Student Chapter into the community is new among student chapters, a great service to us and them. This committee was founded in 2002.Board Liaison: Lizz Zitron Members-Katie Bruce-Dan Burkhalter -Pete Coco -Melissa Gold -Rob Goldberg -Kristin Palmer -Ryan Ross
