Kujawa receives 2013 Gordon M. Conable Award
GSLIS alumna and adjunct lecturer Christine A. Kujawa (MS '03) has been selected by the Public Library Association as the 2013 recipient of the Gordon M. Conable Award. The award honors her work in leading intellectual freedom education and advocacy on local, state, and national levels.
Kujawa is currently head of circulation services at Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library in the Central Dakota Library Network system. Since 2007, she has taught Library Marketing Management for GSLIS via LEEP; the course is part of the ALA-APA Certified Public Library Administrator (CPLA) certification program.
The Gordon M. Conable Award, sponsored by Library Systems & Services (LSSI), honors a public library staff member, a library trustee, or a public library that has demonstrated a commitment to intellectual freedom and the Library Bill of Rights. In recognition of this accomplishment, Kujawa will receive a $1,500 award and commemorative plaque.
