BCCB announces 2015 Blue Ribbons

The staff at The Bulletin of the Center for Children's Books (BCCB) has announced the 2015 Blue Ribbons, their choices for the best of children’s and young adult literature for the year. Blue Ribbons are chosen annually by BCCB reviewers and represent what they believe to be outstanding examples of fiction, nonfiction, and picture books for youth.

Thirty-five titles received Blue Ribbons for 2015, and the full list is available on the BCCB website. “Every year the experience is both new and old,” said editor Deborah Stevenson. “We were delighted this year with so many wonderful titles for younger readers, and we're also finding an increasing number of books that challenge traditional category boundaries and find creative new approaches to storytelling both fact and fiction.”

The Bulletin of the Center for Children's Books, founded in 1945, is one of the nation's leading children's book review journals for school and public librarians.
