Join us for a special presentation by Dr. Pauline Cochrane. Dr. Cochrane has a long and distinguished career as a leader in the field of information science, including many influential publications. The ASIS&T Student Chapter is particularly pleased to welcome her as former President of the American Society of Information Science which occurred during a time when library and information science practices were undergoing revolutionary change. Join us to hear about the changes that Dr. Cochrane has experienced during an extraordinary career.

Open Content Alliance Digitization Facility Tour

The Open Content Alliance (OCA) was created by Internet Archives founder Brewster Kahle as an alternative to the Google Books project.
The University of Illinois Libraries are an OCA partner. Some recent work: Lincoln Books from the University of Illinois.
Betsy Kruger, head of UIUCs Open Content project will join us to talk about our participation. We'll have a chance to take a look at how the digitization is being conducted.
