Job search quick chat: Public libraries

Knowing what to expect in the job search can significantly improve preparation, boost confidence, and increase overall  success. In this Job Search Quick Chat, GSLIS Alum Ashley Rayner, General Information Services Librarian at the Chicago Public Library, will discuss her successful job search, CPL hiring,  and provide the opportunity for attendees to ask questions. Quick Chats are designed to be a fast and informal way to learn about career development topics and ask candid questions – most lasting from 20 to 40 minutes.

This event is part of GSLIS Job Search Month. GSLIS Career Services is hosting a special series of Job Search Month events throughout the month of February. In addition to the services offered throughout the year—including one-on-one consultations, job search assistance, and interview prep—Job Search Month activities will feature on-campus and virtual events to help students prepare for the job search process.
